Previous Post Episode 45Bounty! Straw Hat Luffy Becomes Known to the World! While I'm Watching Nami's haggling with a bird that delivers the newspaper. Nami still wants lots of monaey, that's funny! Usopp's trying to make a new weapon, and failing. Nami brought along a tangerine bush. And of course, she's got Sanji guarding it. She also mentions a place called "villa" that just had a coup. Some traditional Japanese looking building that shows the Marines discussing what to do with Luffy. Also considering how high the previous villain's bounties were, I wonder why they don't try and cash in on it. I would have thought Nami would have brought it up at they had, she would have had over 100 million. Some Marine commander is rallying his men. Oh! Kaya again! Merry shows her the wanted poster but all she notices is Usopp in the background. It is very nice to see that she's doing much better. Kaya hopes to meet him again. Coby shows up too, sweeping some floors. Not that I think he could be valuable doing something else Ok, it's a montage of people they've encountered discovering his wanted poster. It's cool to see. Luffy, Sanji and Usoop are all happy about it. Nami's the only one who realizes what this means. Zoro realizes too, but he's excited to meet new opponents. That one Marine from the Baratie arc has now become a depressed drunk. He also sees the wanted poster, and wants to go after him in order to regain his rank. Luffy sail right by them. Talk about coincedence. Wow, Fullbody's ship is in terrible condition. Not nearly as bad as Krieg's was though Wow, the only person worried about it is Usopp. Zoro cuts the cannonball in half to show he's a badass. Ha, Fullbody's ship Iis in such terrible condition it can't even fire another cannonball. His crew try to go hand to hand, but lose so in about one minute. Oh, Mihawk shows up again! He's meeting with Shanks!! Cool that they know each other. He shows him Luffy's wanted poster. For having technology in about the 1700's range, it seems like literally everyone found out about the wanted poster in about 24 hours. Luffy, stop trying to navigate, you have Nami for a reason. They're going to stop at the island Gold Roger was from and died in. Seriously Buggy? Considering you ate a devil fruit, why are you sailing on such a shoddily constructed raft?! Afterthoughts This was a fun episode, but looking back it's really just" Remember these characters exist" Episode 46Chase Straw Hat! Little Buggy's Big Adventure! While I'm Watching Ok, scene with everyone acting exactly according to their most prominent traits. Usopp lies, Sanji hits on Nami, Luffy wants to play tag, and Zoro refuses until Usopp says he's scared. Luffy thinks that Buggy's dead. Luffy steals all of Usopp's food and Sanji makes speacial food just for Nami. Then a scene shift to Buggy. I guess he isn't even trying to get his body parts back? Then tries to eat a little bird. Only to be chased by an even bigger bird. What is this episode And he gets eaten by the bird, only to be spit out. Meanwhile Luffy is fascinated by crustacean. Oh, Buggy landed on Gaimon's island. Okay, this is just so goddamn ridiculous. Somehow Gaimon has pistols. That havent worn out in all the years he's been there? Gaimon thought he was a poacher. When he says that he isn't they become friends. And they have a party with the then tries to recruit Gaimon. But of course, he rejects the offer like he did with both talk about this "kid " they met who Gaimon liked and Buggy hated, not revealing enough to know they're talking about the same was that the sea cow I just saw?! Then they cry while saying goodbye to a person they each met less than 24 hours ago. Only for Buggy's raft to get destroyed almost then some scantily-clad woman rescues Buggy. She's looking for Luffy team up to kill Luffy. On the Going Merry everyone but Nami is sleeping. Or trying to sleep at least. Afterthoughts This episode is just "What?" For 22 minutes. It wasn't bad, but it was so weird. Episode 47The Wait is Over! The Return of Captain Buggy! Joke complaining about the opening narration because I know it is changed next episode from the thumbnails While I'm Watching Buggy wants to go out looking for his crew. Oh, his old crew has the rest of his body. Even better if he meets up with them. Wow, Luffy actually doesn't believe in a superstition. And Nami backhandedly compliments herself. Oh shit, Buggy's crew left his body parts on some random island. They all think he's dead. Ok, Cabaji and Mohji both want to be the new captain. They both destroy each other's weapons so hard the screen turns black and white, and then greyscale. FIghting hand to hand lasts a super long time. It ends in a double knock-out. And then Mohji's lion has a dream about being captain. What!? Why? So then the lion hits them both. WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK. WHY ARE YOU LETTING A LION BE YOUR CAPTAIN?! And then some native looking tribe shows up. And they defeat the lion. Buggy manages to see his old ship. He discovers Mohji and Cabaji passed out on the ground. The tribe that defeated Buggy's crew are all cannibals. But Buggy gets all his body parts back, and proceeds to defeat the tribe. Thank God, now I don't have to look at super short Buggy. He was just weird to look at. Buggy then gets even angrier at Luffy. The audience still doesn't get to learn the woman's name. Then the crew starts approaching the island. Ifyour not sure at that point finish arlong park (ep 40) and then if you dont like drop it. I usually recommend reading it. It goes faster and you get to the cool stuff that way at a better clip. I enjoyed One piece from episode 1 but got really into it around episode 45 as I was starting to understand the storyline.
